INTRODUCTION

OFMB was registered on the 15th July 2011 (Registration number: C02011/5975).

ADVANTAGES

  • The Botswana Ministry of Agriculture has a mandate to reduce imports and increase local agricultural production whilst ensuring that the fragile soils of Botswana are not lost to future generations. The Ministry recognises the importance of Soil Organic matter.

  • Botswana, because of its strategic geographic position, is ideally placed to penetrate the regional agricultural input requirement market mainly being South Africa, Zambia, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Angola, and the D.R.C.

  • OFMB, with the association of its local partners, imports significant quantities of maize; maize bran; molasses and other raw materials necessary for the livestock industry in the country as well as for its partners feedlot, which ensures a constant supply of raw materials in the form of manures to make the fertilizer.

  • There is a substantial demand for our Organic and Organically enhanced fertilizers in South Africa. OFMB's products have already been trialled and tested in South Africa and have demonstrated excellent results.

With strategic rail networks expanding westwards in the pipeline and the establishment of “dry port” facilities already in Namibia, OFMB sees huge opportunities for the export of its products primarily to the West African countries in the North.
